How to clean radiators

post-title

Guide that explains how to clean radiators, procedure for removing dirt internally and externally, what to use to perform this operation.

Method to clean radiators

Among the cleaning to be carried out in the home, that of the radiator is undoubtedly among the most tedious but it is unfortunately an operation to be performed periodically.

In fact, due to the heating effect, they attract a lot of dust during the winter season and for this reason they are a real receptacle for mites.

But in addition to this, the layer of dust that covers the radiating surfaces causes a partial reduction of the heat emitted, with a consequent increase in the costs of fuel consumed by the heating system.

It is therefore necessary to arm yourself with a lot of patience and proceed with the cleaning following some small, but very useful suggestion.

How to clean radiators

To start, we take the vacuum cleaner with the nozzle mounted to be inserted in the slots and we start to eliminate the dust accumulated behind and under the radiator, including all the cavities that can be reached by the suction instrument.

After this we spread the old newspapers on the floor under the radiator and prepare a bucket with hot water and degreasing detergent for dishes, preferably with lemon to obtain a clean scented with this pleasant essence.

Now let's move on to the actual washing, using the sponge, of all the parts that can be reached.

For the others, we use the brush for bottles to be dipped before and when needed, in the bucket with water and detergent.

If the bucket water becomes too black, change it and put the detergent back in.

Once the soaping operation is finished, empty the bucket and fill it with only clean water for the final rinse.

At the end take the dry cotton cloth and dry the radiator.
