How to make spaghetti with Genoese pesto, a typical Ligurian recipe of easy preparation based on basil and pine nuts, including Parmesan cheese and olive oil.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 500 g of spaghetti

- 1 tablespoon of pine nuts


- half a bunch of basil

- 1 clove of garlic

- 3 spoons of parmesan


- 60 ml of olive oil

- pepper

Preparation

1) First of all toast the pine nuts in a pan without any seasoning.

2) After removing the basil leaves, wash and chop them after drying them.

3) Peel the garlic and cut it coarsely.

4) Blend basil, garlic, salt and pine nuts with the mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

5) Add the Parmesan and olive oil, then flavor with the peppers.

6) In a saucepan bring boiling salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti according to the indications written on the package, calculating the time from the resumption of the boil.

7) Drain the pasta and season it with the pesto, then serve immediately on the table.
