What to see in Asiago, a famous tourist resort located in the center of the plateau of the same name, itinerary including the memorial of the fallen and the astrophysical observatory, recommended the tasting of the cheese that made the town famous all over the world.

Popular summer and winter holiday resort, Asiago is the main center of an area called the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.

On the Asiago plateau, which was the battlefield during the Great War, there are several centers equipped for winter sports, including Gallium, Roana, Toza, Enego, Lusiana and Conco.


Completely destroyed during the bombings of the First World War, the historic center of Asiago has been rebuilt in a modern form.

The remains of thousands of Italian and Austro-Hungarian fallen soldiers are gathered in the Memorial of the Fallen, an imposing radial construction.

What see

In an adjacent room, documents and photographs are exhibited, as well as relics found on what were the battlefields in the area.


Nearby is the astrophysical observatory of the University of Padua, equipped with a very powerful telescope.

In addition to being a tourist resort, Asiago is also an important agricultural center.

The most important economic activity revolves around cattle breeding and the production of cheeses, including the famous Asiago cheese, known internationally.
