They are called rust converters, at the base of them is the chemical reaction that is triggered when the product comes into contact with rust.
By acting as a catalyst, the rust converter transforms the rust into an inert black compound that can be painted easily, and with a lasting effect, after only a few hours.
It is advisable to spread at least two hands on particularly rusty iron, to make the protective film that forms as protection even thicker.
In addition to the pure and simple rust converter, there are paints in the main colors that already contain them, for this reason, finding the suitable color, it is enough to buy a single product.
Before painting the iron it is recommended, with the help of a metal bristle brush, to remove flakes of old paint or rusty iron during detachment.
