Mexican lamb: banana cutlets recipe

How to prepare excellent Mexican lamb chops, typical recipe with bananas and orange, necessary ingredients and detailed procedure for cooking it.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 8 lamb chops cut thinly

- 3 not too ripe bananas


- 1 orange

- 1 tablespoon of olive oil

- 40 gr of butter


- salt

How to cook lamb in Mexican style

Peel the bananas while also removing the filaments, then cut them into logs about two centimeters long.

Put a large enough pan on the fire with a little oil to heat evenly distributed on the bottom and lay the lamb chops on it, cooking them on high heat for about a couple of minutes for each part.


In the meantime, start melting the butter over a moderate flame in another smaller pan, arrange the ribs in a circular serving dish, salt them and raise the flame under the pan with the butter.

As soon as the butter starts to froth, add the pieces of banana and cook them for about a minute, until they turn golden, turning them on each side, then squeeze the orange juice over them and shake the pan to mix, then pour bananas and sauce obtained in the center of the serving dish containing the lamb chops.
