CommentThe psalmist who wrote Psalm 19 expresses his thought in a reflection of praise to God, aware of his greatness and power for having created the beauty of the starry skies.


Psalm 19 complete

[1] To the choir master. Psalm. Di Davide.

[2] The heavens narrate the glory of God, and the work of his hands heralds the firmament.


[3] Day by day he entrusts the message and night by night he transmits the news.

[4] It is not language and they are not words, the sound of which is not heard.

[5] Throughout the earth their voice spreads and their word spreads to the ends of the world.


[6] There he set up a tent for the sun which comes out of the bridal chamber as a bridegroom, exults as a brave man who walks the road.

[7] He rises from one extreme of the sky and his race reaches the other extreme: nothing escapes his heat.

[8] The law of the Lord is perfect, it refreshes the soul; the testimony of the Lord is true, it makes the simple wise.


[9] The orders of the Lord are righteous, they make the heart rejoice; the commands of the Lord are clear, they give light to the eyes.

[10] The fear of the Lord is pure, it always lasts; the judgments of the Lord are all faithful and just,

[15] May the words of my mouth please you, the thoughts of my heart before you. Lord, my cliff and my redeemer.
