How to prepare the recipe for rustic Tuscan crostini, appetizer based on black olives, fennel seeds and thyme, with anchovies in oil and Apulian type bread.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 150 gr. toasted black olives
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 2 anchovy fillets in oil
- 4 slices of Apulian bread
Preparation of rustic croutons
To prepare rustic crostini with black olives, it takes about 20 minutes of preparation to which 5 more must be added for cooking.
First pitted the olives, then put them in a blender together with the fennel seeds previously reduced to powder with the help of a mortar and by rubbing on a wooden cutting board.
Add the thyme leaves and the anchovy fillets, after blending everything until you obtain a homogeneous mixture to be transferred to a bowl.
Toast the slices of bread, using the oven grill or a toaster, then cut them into smaller pieces.
Spread the rustic olive-based cream over the parts obtained, decorate with the thyme leaves and place on a tray to serve.
