In the Wyoming territory, the Great Plains join with the Rocky Mountains chain and proceeding from east to west you will find other mountain ranges, the main ones being the Snowy Mountains, the Wind River, the Big Horn Mountains and the Teton Range.

To see the spectacular national parks among which the most famous is that of Yellowstone.
Yellowstone National Park, the first established in the world, occupies a very large area.
It is located in the area of the Rocky Mountains and extends over various plateaus, with average heights between two thousand and two thousand five hundred meters.
This park is crossed by the river of the same name, which forms the Lower Falls, where it takes a 91-meter jump.
The name of the park derives from the intense yellow color of the rocks eroded by the river.
In addition to the waterfalls, there are also lakes, forests and lots of wildlife, which includes deer, beavers, brown bears, bison, elk, coyotes and pelicans.
The Grand Teton national park is famous for the mountainous landscapes that characterize it, dominated by the Mount of the same name, whose summit reaches 4,199 meters above sea level, as well as for its rocks, which are among the oldest on the planet.

The main Wyoming cities to visit are Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Rock Springs, Gillette, Sheridan, Green River and Evanston.
The capital is Cheyenne, the capital of Laramie County and the largest urban center, which stands on a plateau of over 1800 meters.
Casper is the second largest city by population, while Green River is the capital of Sweetwater County.
