The island of Bali, which is part of the archipelago of the smaller Sunda islands, is a tourist destination in Indonesia, highly appreciated for its traditions, culture and natural beauty.

Millions of tourists come to Bali every year to make a stop at Denpasar International Airport.


Among the places of greatest interest are numerous temples, traditional villages and rice fields arranged on a terrace, all surrounded by enchanting landscapes.

The local craftsmanship is renowned for fine wood carvings, stone sculptures, silver workings and production of colored fabrics, with the particular Batik technique.

What see

Gunung Kawi, are magnificent temples totally carved out of the rock.


Pura Besakih, is the best known temple in Bali, where many festivals are celebrated inside.

Pura Rambut Siwi, a temple located on top of a cliff from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view.

Puri Lukisan, is a museum where you can appreciate a splendid art collection and internal gardens.


Negri Propinsi, museum where finds and objects dating back to prehistory are kept inside.

Kuta, the largest beach on the island, where you can enjoy amazing sunsets.

Siambaran, another white sand beach.

Nusa Dua, recommended beach for surf enthusiasts, where you can eat excellent fish in the many restaurants nearby.

Mushroom Bay, a suggestive bay, where you can go snorkelling.

Tulamben and Pulau Menjangan, wrecks to be seen underwater, visible only by scuba diving and therefore it is an excursion reserved only for divers.

Gunung Batur and Gunung Agung, are two volcanoes where you can climb along trekking paths, from which you can see a beautiful panorama of Bali.

Padangbai, a small village located in the Tenganan bay where there are lovely beaches.

Penelokan and Jatiluwih, are mountains from which you can appreciate a grandiose panorama composed of volcanic landscapes, lakes and rice fields, as well as picturesque villages and spectacular views towards the sea.


Bukit is a peninsula where there are the Ulu Watu Temple, the Jimbaran beach, the Nusa Dua oasis and the Tanjung Benoa beach, of very fine white sand and equipped with all kinds of equipment for water sports.

Gunung Batur, Tabanan and Ubud are other interesting places worth visiting.
