post-title

What does Ahab mean, meaning of a term that spread in the last century but later transformed into Akab by the new generations who have the habit of using it in their posts on the internet via social media.

Meaning of Ahab Akab

An acronym for the English expression "All Cops Are Bastards", which in Italian means "all cops are bastards", A.c.a.b. as an abbreviation it began to be used in the United Kingdom during the 1970s.

The maximum popularity of this term was reached when it was used as the title of a successful song by the group "The 4-Skins", whose members had met as football fans.

Since then, Ahab became a slogan with which the supporters of the skinhead culture showed a strong antipathy towards the polizzioti and the forces of order in general, often coming into conflict with them especially in football events that took place in the stadiums.

The skinhead was born in Britain in the 1960s and since then this culture has marked the violence perpetrated by English hooligans.

In the 1980s, the skinhead movement also began to expand in the rest of Europe and the United States, unfortunately dragging behind the bad customs and expressions of contempt that characterized it.

Soon the acronym A.C.A.B. began to be used by many ultras and football team fans.

Currently the originally offensive meaning of Ahab has been transformed by the new generations into the Akab variant, or the same term written with the k instead of the c, which means "All Kebab Are Good", or that "all kebabs are good" , harmless expression referring to the goodness of the popular dish with low red meat typical of Turkish cuisine.

Akab is mainly used by young people, to indicate a person characterized by a rebellious and transgressive character, with a totally different meaning than the original term from which it derives written with the c.
